The Water Monster
Returned from my 3 days 2 nights Bintan trip yesterday, wanted to log in to post my photos but was held up all because of my Washing Machine. Sigh....my 4 years old ( almost) applied for early retirement just before my Bintan trip. We had to approve because the 7 Kg machine nearly "collapsed". Its a long long story. So we rushed down to order another machine once we departed from the terminal. Imagine I have to handwash all the Bintan clothes, that will be a nightmare. No time to compare prices. As kiasu Singaporean, we chose a cheap and huge machine, Samsung Machine ( 8 kg ) @ $399.Now I can wash my comforter and curtains with that 8kg monster. i supposed the word " urgent" was written on my face, the salesperson said she could arrange for delivery the next day if we need it urgently. After we went home, we started to wory that it can't fit into the limited space that we have. We even considered calling to change to another smaller machine but due to the kiasu nature, we stick to our decision( there is a pipe at the back which we failed to take into account at our 1st measurement ). Today the bulky monster finally arrived. I prayed hard that the monster can fit in nicely. Fortunately it did. After installation, the men left and I immediately dumped in all my Bintan clothes. Just as I was proud that I made the right decision ( nearly went to call my mum) , the machine stopped ! The error symbol indicated that something was wrong with the drain hose. I called the men and blamed them for not doing a proper installation. In the end, waited till almost 10pm, he came back, pull out the machine and fix the hose. At 11.15pm, the machine finally finished washing the clothes. Now I am going to hang up my clothes under the moonlight.
