My RuM SnOwsKiN MoOnCaKes

After spending 1.5hour in the baking shop, these were the end products. I chose RuM paste flavour after sampling as it was more unique. Tiramisu did not taste as good, and the appearance ( dark brown ) doesn't look very appealing. I only made 5.5 boxes of mooncakes, total 44 pieces. I exchanged 1 box of RuM for champagne ( from photo: champagne mooncake is in yellowish colour) with fellow classmate. Champagne's alcoholic taste was quite strong. After making, had to leave it in the fridge for 3 hours before consumption. The number of mooncake making shifu was more than the learner ( shifu learner ratio is 1.5: 1). Professional assistance was always available. Well, I liked the RuM mooncakes but maybe the elderly migh prefer the traditional ones such as lotus or green bean flavour. The Mooncakes must be consumed in 5 days, so tomorrow I have to start giving away my mooncakes. It was quite an experience, making mooncakes was not as difficult as I used to think. I enjoyed myself especially the moulding part. I only spent a total of $23 on my RuM mooncakes. Maybe next year I can try another flavour.

Wow, I think it is cheap and fun to make your own mooncakes but how to finish so many boxes in 5 days! Luckily you can give away. :)

The mooncake only has the rum taste.(Rum is a distilled alcoholic liquid from sugar cane)Well, the skin colour should be lighter but my shifu told me to add more so it ended up in this colour. All her fault!
