Curry Rice and Prune Tea Cake

Today was experiment 3 and its a failure! Sigh....this time I made prune tea cake, sounds weird right? Ingredients include dried prunes, hot tea and walnuts. This experiment took me a long time to prepare. I had to soak the finely cut prunes into the hot tea for 2 hours and I had a hard time cracking the nutshell to dig out the walnuts! Arghh....look at the photos, such a big mess and in the end some part of the cakes were not fully baked ! Something wrong with the oven.

For dinner, we had Japanese curry. Luckily this was a success. I have always wanted to cook Japanese curry after the lunch treat at XJ's place. On Friday, I went to Central and bought biscuits, dorayaki and curry sauce at the Japanese supermarket. I did not know which brand was good so I just followed what the other customers bought. The curry sauce turned out to be great!
