Strawberry Muffins & Sponge Cake

After much discussion and consideration, finally we purchased a Tefal Oven. Both of us immediately chose an item from our bakery books and made our way to purchase the ingredients. We already had all the basic baking ingredients ( different kinds of flour, baking powder, eggs, sugar etc) so all we need were just strawberries and evaporated milk. I was supposed to make blueberry muffins but as I can't find any in that small NTUC downstairs so I decided to change to strawberry. Hubby insisted in making Japanese Cotton Sponge Cake though I told him not to . Reason being the the sponge cake is given 4 stars meaning it is very difficult to prepare. The number of stars indicates the level of difficulty. Minimum is 1 star, maximum is 4. In the end, my muffins tasted much better than his sponge cake. He was quite disappointed, as it did not turn out to be what we expected. I strongly encouraged him not to give up as this was his first attempt. Must give credits to him for spending so much time, sweat and energy in beating the egg white.:)
