Mango Mousse Cake
Strawberry Lightweight CakeAfter much consideration, I finally signed up for the Elementary Cake Making course. Total 8 sessions and members only have to pay 65 bucks. We have to pay for the ingredients separately. Well, I deliberately signed up for the class conducted by R. Goh, strongly recommended by YZ. YZ has been attending his lessons for quite some time and she is full of praise for him.
My class is from 10am to 1pm, as usual I was late( by just a few minutes) and ended up taking the VIP seat, 1st row at the centre, thanks to all those helpful aunties. I registered for my course online and according to the website, it said elementary course. But I was surprised to receive the recipes book titled : Cake Baking Class Stage 3. Initially I thought I went to the wrong venue, again the helpful aunties assured me that I was at the right place. R.Goh pushed the blame to PA, only a few new comers were affected, majority ( helpful aunties) were R.Goh's faithful followers. I was told that he conducted a total of 6 stages in Cake Making and this group has been learning from him since stage 1.
Today R.Goh made Mango Mousse Cake and Strawberry Lightweight Cake. He is truly an enterprising cake master, he brought along all the ingredients and equipment for cake making. After the lessons, many aunties flocked to purchase the stuff from him. R.Goh is a humorous man, guess that is why the aunties enjoy his lessons. He is also very generous in the servings, the containers that I brought to 'da bao' the cakes home were far too small. I took lots of pictures, including those work in process pictures. I doubt I will ever try the Mango mousse cake, its just too much work and too challenging for a beginner like me. As for the Strawberry lightweight cake, I will give it a try when I am free. For this lesson, I only paid 2.6 bucks for a huge slice of Mango cake and strawberry cake.I had the Mango cake for lunch and ZH had the strawberry cake for tea.
After eating the sinful mango cake, we went for a swim. We have been swimming for 3 consecutive Sundays. Hopefully this will become our regular weekly activity.

I have been surfing PA website for cake making courses but as usual, I only look see look see and no action.
Maybe it's time for me to buy an oven. Haha.
