For the past 2 years, I had signed up for mooncake courses at Phoon Huat to make snowskin mooncake. This year, I checked out the website, can't find the mooncake courses, and I was told that Phoon Huat had closed down their outlet at Jurong. I guessed they must have been affected by the recent crisis. Actually I am not a mooncake lover, I love durian more than mooncake, that is why I chose to buy durian mooncake as gifts for my parents.
Yesterday we bought 2 boxes of Durian mooncakes for mum and my in-laws. Initially I wanted to buy the famous Goodwood Park Durian Mooncakes, but to our disappointment, the outlet ran out of stock. Their service attitude was so bad that ZH sent in a complaint letter to the sales department today. The 1st sales person did not even look at us when we made enquiry about the mooncakes, he continued doing whatever he was busy with and just said " no more ", I stood there expecting him to give us more information , then the 2nd salesperson repeated the same statement. They shared the same attitude and looked alike, we bet they must be from the same family, "like father, like son". We ended up buying 717 durian mooncakes. As usual my in-laws gave us some mooncakes to bring home, we tried the Raffles Hotel mooncakes ( thanks to ZH's bro) , its yummy!
