Last night we went to watch our very first 3D movie in cinema. It had been a long working day, left school around 8.15pm, rushed to have dinner and catch the 9.25pm show. Well, I was quite excited about the 3D movie, though I had the same experience in Tokyo Disney 2 years ago. It was quite fun, watching all the images floating in the air, coming towards me, especially the snowing scene.
Christmas Carol is based on the story by Charles Dickens. I had read the storyline before so I know what to expect. The simple fairy tale goes like this : Jim Carrey was the miser , Scrooge. He was mean to all those around him and he dread Christmas time. Suddenly the ghosts of the past, present and future came to visit him and took him for an eye-opening journey. His mindset changed after this adventure and of course it was a happy ending.
After watching for a while, Mr Sim started to complain. He complained that the pace was too slow, 3D specs too heavy, violent scene, story boring etc etc. I had to admit that I was too tired, I dozed off once or twice. I agreed the pace was slow but the effects were great.
