Quest to Immortality

Yesterday was an enriching day for all of us. Other than HQ, the 3 of us had not stepped into the National Museum for a long long time. We were there for the Egyptian exhibition, we did not expect such a big crowd as yesterday was the 2nd last day of the Exhibition. To our surprise the ticket queue was long and after we finished viewing, there were lots of people who had purchased the tickets but were unable to go in due to the crowd control. They had to wait for at least 30 minutes before they can enter the exhibition hall. We were glad that we were there early and need not spend time waiting to go in.

I had learnt a lot from this exhibition. Its interesting to know that man of a different race, religion, culture and background view death in a different way. The funeral is conducted in a different manner. The common thinking is life will go on after death ( just like the Chinese Emperor Qin) in a different form, nobody knows how true this is and this adds mystery to the life after death.Certain parts of the exhibitions were quite scary, I still remembered the cat mummy, the x-rays of the male and female mummy ( with 2 babies).

We also visited all the other exhibits ( Our lifestyle gallery & Plastic Bag exhibits), thanks to my aunt, our museum volunteer. We were talking about her role as a volunteer as we walked out of the Egyptian exhibits when we ran into her. Its such a coincidence that yesterday was her duty day.

These were some of the pictures taken using my phone.
