3 weekends ago, ZH suggested we tried something new, meaning we tried out new dishes instead of always cooking the same old food. Friday night we were busy searching for recipe, jot down the ingredients and spent Saturday morning in Giant, buying all the ingredients. At first we wanted to go to wet market but decided against. Will visit wet market after our cooking skills has improved.
My new dish : Sweet Potato Balls
I chose this as it reminds me of the snack I ate in Taipei. Its tasted exactly the same. Very chewy and yummy :-) only cons was I doubled the ingredients and we had about 50 or more potatoes balls, too many for 2 to finish. We had this for lunch.
Ingredients:
1. 400 g mashed sweet potatoes
2. 50 g castor sugar
3. 30 g long grain rice flour
4. 30 g glutinous rice flour
From flour to potato balls |
too many...... |
Oily Food |
Claypot rice |
We bought a clay pot from Giant and had clay pot rice for dinner. Its quite tasty but just a bit too wet and salty.
