DoRaYaKi

Yesterday Mr Sim and I bought a cookbook each. His book is titled " Joy of Making Dim Sum", whereas mine is on the making of dorayaki. This morning, we are having a Cookery Competition. ( Initially we planned to go to the zoo but the weather doesn't look good.) I started first, later shall post some photos when its ready. Now I am waiting for my mixture to cool down, according to the book, at least 30 minutes.I know I need not work so hard since the supermarket is selling the ready made pancake mixture which Mr Sim has tried when he was in Secondary. But beating the egg, flour, honey, sugar etc and getting it right gives me a sense of satisfaction. I reduced all the ingredients by half as I was afraid we can't finish all the dora and bao, but Mr Sim was laughing at me because looking at my mixture, I might end up with only 2 pieces of dora after all the hard work. Now time to fry my dora.Result is out! sigh....my dora looks more like roti prata or pancake. Managed to make 6 pieces, taste quite good though the appearance not attractive. Mr Sim is very supportive, ate most of it and he even encouraged me to try again.He is not making his bao as he just realised that he forgot to purchase 1 of the ingredients.
