我的小小世界: 3 Days 2 Nights Bintan Trip

We had been to Bintan countless times and have stopped going there for the past few years. This time round, we were there mainly for 1 purpose – Golf . We purchased a 3 days and 2 nights Ria Bintan golf package online, it includes accommodation for 2 nights at Nirwana Garden with breakfast, ferry tickets and 18 holes at Ria Bintan ( around $410 per pax ) We spent the 1^st and 3^rd day swimming and eating, 2^nd day playing golf. This was an memorable trip as this was our first time playing 36 holes in 1 day ! After playing 18 holes, its only 12.30pm, we had lunch and decided to have another round ( since we were already there ), completed the 2^nd round at 5pm and took a cab back to our resort. Though exhausted, but we had lots of fun. We really enjoyed ourselves, not that we are great golfers but because we have 1 more common hobby, enjoy each other company and never run out of topics even after almost 10 years of marriage.

Ria Bintan is the most popular golf course in Bintan mainly because of its stunning ocean view. The course is also rather challenging , we ended up with many missing balls ( lost in the woods, forest and ocean ) There are lots of bunkers near the hole and one must be on the lookout for monkeys. Certain areas are known as Monkey zones. Monkeys went to our buggy when we were at hole 9, luckily the caddy chased them away. When it comes to putting, lots of up and downslopes increase the difficulty level for beginners like us.

Ocean course hole 1 to 18, while forest course only has 9 holes. On that day ocean hole 10 to 18 were closed for maintenance . Signature holes are ocean hole 7 to 9.

I managed to cross the ocean at tee off but ball ended up in the bunker. The bunker was so deep that I had to climb down. The flight behind us was an elderly Ang mo couple , just like us the old lady was busy taking pictures and saw my ball landed in the bunker. To my surprise I got the ball out and it landed near the hole ! This was an achievement. I had lots of bunker practice on that day .
