I bought a A-Z guide ( compulsory for all to buy ) from the museum. The book had lots of information relating to the artefacts. However, it was not user-friendly as it was very tedious for the reader to read up on a particular area of the collection, not knowing where( which page) to look for the relevant information. We were also given a resource kit, which were useful lessonplans for the teachers. Today we had a sharing session in the morning, almost all shared on their experiences in these 2 days. Well, the other colleagues really had a hands on experience, for example those at Eng Wah were selling popcorns, doing ticketing and running the show ( what's more they catch a preview of Shrek 3). But for those going to the museum, I feel that we learnt a lot ( in terms of knowledge), more for personal growth and development. We did not get to experience or see the working life of the staff ( for example those at the frontline, or those who set up the exhibits). Its really a pity. After the sharing, we went to Legend for a buffet lunch. Its our 2nd trip to the Legend, the food there was very average, perhaps we were there again due to connection.
