Tea Chapter

Today I brought the boys to Tea Chapter 《茶渊》, together with another colleague. Its the 1st time we organized such trip. The owner is very enterprising, he/ she targets the schools. They conduct a 2hr tea appreciation workshop ( in either CL or EL language) for all schools. They charge $5 per head for tea, rice ball and tea egg. Last year my Malay colleague brought her boys here and she commented that its an enriching experience as they got to know more about the Chinese tea culture.
After the person in charge( the man in white) shared some tea history with the boys, he demonstrated how to make a cup of tea. The boys were divided into 4 groups and they had a hands-on session on tea making. The man in white told us that yesterday 120 pupils came and they were very noisy, spent 1/2 hr finding their shoes and they nearly damaged the kettle.
After 2 hours, all the boys and the tea sets were in 1 piece, nobody was hurt by the boiling water. We received 1 complaint from the customers at the 2nd floor.
As usual, the boys were not leave empty handed, they took any brochures that they can lay their hands on, bought the ice-cream puffs, tea eggs and tea leaves.
On the whole, this trip was quite fun, long time din visit tea chapter......:)

I brought pupils there last year during the mid-autumn festival period. Tea Chapter has a "special programme" for mid-autumn. They will introduce the legends associated with the festival and demonstrate how to make mooncakes. My pupils enjoyed it very much. You can consider having one during that period next time:)

My pupils nearly tore the whole building. The customers were warned of the noise and advised to come later when we were gone! Hahaha.
