Our initial plan was to travel via foot and train within Sapporo. But after walking on the slippery ground, we changed our mind. We booked a half day trip at Esta, with the local bus company. We were the only non Japanese joining the tour. We relied on the pre-recorded translation using the hear phone. We went to the famous Shrine, Shiroikoibito ( chocolate factory tour) and central wholesale market ( lots of hokkaido hairy crabs and seafood). We were extremely impressed by the chocolate factory's management, there were so many staff doing QC, checking the chocolate at every other step. They also have a hands on session for kids who want to make chocolate. You can also find a toy museum, cafe, stadium and park in there.
